There are two types of accounts in your Google Workspace
Accounts that connect using Google as an SSO
Accounts that connect using Google OAuth tokens (a.k.a. Sign in with Google)
The Google Workspace API that we connect to will report your employee's login events when they connect to an app using Google as an SSO, but for the majority of apps where a user Signs in with Google, the Workspace API does not report this. We have created the Sparx Chrome Extension to track these login events to give you accurate usage data.
To set this up, you will need to download this chrome extension for your employees. You can read about the type of data collected by the extension .
Sign in to your Google Workspace (G suite) admin here
Go to: Devices (1) >> Chrome (2) >> Apps & Extensions (3)
In Users & browsers (4) tab hover the + icon (5) and click the chrome icon (6)
The Sparx Chrome Extension is not searchable on the Chrome Store >> Extensions (7) >> View app by ID (8) paste the Extension ID: ojodlpihgejdabbkgfnnghejgchoiolm
The Sparx Chrome Extension will display, Click Select (9)
Once the Sparx Chrome Extension has displayed open the dropdown (10) >> select Force install + pin to browser toolbar (11) and click Save (12)
The extension will be installed at the end-user browser without a removal option
As mentioned above, not all employees will have this extension downloaded. For any employee accounts you want to monitor, we advise that you send an email with the following link for them to go to the chrome web store and download for themselves
